ForeSight
ForeSight is an award-winning wearable navigation device for the visually impaired that combines computer vision with soft robotics to help users feel the environment around them, giving them the confidence to move around safely. ForeSight uses computer vision to detect the environment around a user in real-time via their camera phone. This information is fed back to a hands-free, discreet wearable device that gives users haptic feedback on objects around them using soft robotic actuators. Different actuators provide different signals depending on object proximity.
ForeSight was awarded the Ingenuity Award Grand Prize from the Harvard Innovation Lab Presidential Innovation Challenge. The Presidential Innovation Challenge was gracious funded by the Bertarelli Foundation.
